Hello!

This is something I've wanted to do for a while and finally I feel I have a character, which is good enough to be posted here.

The character is fully rigged, but you can only use this feature if you have 3ds Max 2009 or newer. I've included with it .obj and .3ds files in sitting posture, so you could adapt it to your car with less effort, if you can't use max.

I hope he's something you can use for your imports. If you happen to make any improvements, textures and etc, it would be very cool if you could post them in this topic!

DOWNLOAD:

or

TERMS OF USE:

Rally driver 3D Model
Model and textures by iisq

You can freely use and modify this model and it's textures for your personal, non-commercial projects. It's required to credit the author in readme, which comes with your project or in other, comparable and clearly visible way.

If you distribute the source files, always include the readme-file with your distribution.

I don't ask much in return for this freebie, I only hope that you will respect the terms of use.

TIPS:

-These are my first normal maps, I still have things to learn ;)
-If you use normal maps, you must have driver body in one smoothing group.
-When fitting the rigged version, import and scale the cockpit to the scene with driver and then import the driver to the scene with the car.
-Use local coordinates when rotating a bone.
-If you want to reorient spine, it's often good idea not to rotate pelvis, but the small box inside it.
-You can reset bones by selecting one of the bones and then choosing Motion tab >>> Copy/Paste Rollout >>> Pose. Remember to have Paste rotation selected. You can also add some of your own or change between poses I've included ;)

Have fun!
